A Message from The President
Hello fellow members and thank you for renewing your memberships again. I
know a lot of people do not utilize the club grounds or facilities, but
join to support the club—your support is greatly appreciated!
The year began well with a successful
Hunter’s Tour Tournament headed by Bob Pacelli. The tour generated
approximately $1,700 in revenue for the club. With a great job by all the
volunteers.
The Moravia Correctional Officers have renewed their contract for the year,
which generates roughly $4,000 for the club. We thank them.
The upper-club house has been repainted and decorated during the winter
months. We’re also looking at more improvements to be made to the
grounds during the summer months—including the sporting clays and skeet.
During the March meeting the
Officers and Board decided the financial status of the club was strong
enough to keep the annual dues at $55. The meetings are held the 2nd
Tuesday of every month and everyone is welcome.
Kudos to Neal Duffy for staying on as our treasurer. This is a very
important position and Neal does a terrific job. Neal generates a detailed
spreadsheet each month to facilitate reviews by the Board and to help
simplify cost based decisions. Neal has filled this position for several
years. He helps to keep the club running and financially sound. Great job
Neal!
Thanks to Kim B for putting the newsletters together—terrific job!
We have many great events scheduled this year: our Field Day, the Haunted
Hayride, and Fall Hunters Tour. Be sure to enjoy the special events.
Remember, volunteering is also a great way to enjoy our events.
